In July it seems, everyone wants to go fast!
We are nearing completion on a job for a Thai client on a 34 mtr fast ferry, Incat designed, powered by a pair of 16V2000 MTU punching out 2300 HP each. This will be a rocket ship! It is designed to reach speeds of around 35 knots. We have designed 406mm Dia SS Water Injectors and some huge 406mm Waterlift Mufflers. We will be in Thailand for the commissioning, and also will be visiting other yards where we have projects going.
In Darwin, a pair of 700 HP Yanmars are going into a crew transfer vessel, we have sent a complete refit kit for that job. We have completed 2 shipsets for a pair of 34mtrs for Riverside, powered by 1400 HP Cats. Another Brisbane based client has ordered a complete shipset for a 24mtr in progress, powered by a pair of 900 HP Yanmars.
At the other end of the spectrum, a Riv 38, a couple of yachts and a putter are all needing exhaust work, and on the consulting side, 6 or more 50 ft production boats that have a few design issues. We have also designed a pair of dry mufflers for a new 24mtr nearing completion in Brisbane, powered by Scania.
